For the lucky folks who got in on the BlizzCon action, you’re sure to have witnessed the announcement of the digital pre-sale for Cataclysm firsthand. But to those not part of the crowd, here’s what’s up.

You can now begin your pre-orders by heading to Batte.net. Take note that only the standard edition of the Cata expansion is available. If what you’re after is the collector’s edition, you need to do a little waiting. This is open to all players in Americas, Australia, Europe, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia. Go on, go digital now!

Now on its third year, the BlizzCon Sweepstakes is back and bringing in the freebies!

Some people may just have to settle for watching BlizzCon on Pay Per View but who would refuse a trip for two to see the real deal completely without charge? If you want to be the lucky winner, you have to fill up the entry form first. Just don’t forget to send them in before the 2^nd of October.

Dates for 2010 BlizzCon Announced

Fans of Diablo, Starcraft and Warcraft get ready to troop to sunny California as the fifth installment of BlizzCon is coming to the Anaheim Convention this October 22-23. That’s set on a weekend ― Friday and Saturday, 10AM -10PM Pacific Time on both days.

As with past celebrations, BlizzCon 2010 will not only serve as an official fanboy/fangirl gathering but will also feature other interactive activities such as cosplay exhibitions, tournaments, Q&A panels, contests with great prizes up for grabs and a whole lot more.

No details have been released yet about the ticket’s availability or pricing as of this writing. Do check back here for an update.
