First up, Season One, Update One just went live.

Kicking the challenge factor several notches up, 1.1 presents the new Injury System, putting greater risk to those players engaged in more difficult missions. This then leads us to the Difficulty Slider, a tool for players to choose the level of difficulty when accepting a mission. Three options are given: Normal, Advanced and Elite.

Updates do not end there, however. You will also be seeing several additions to the C-Store namely the Maelstrom, Federation Pakled and the Klingon Bridge Pack III.

Star Trek Online has just unveiled Trident, a new exploration vessel capable of reaching distant star systems safely. It can handle its own repairs and is a strong support ship when traveling in a fleet. Those who want to customize their Trident will have ample space to do so. There are nine modification slots (2 Tactical, 3 Engineering, and 4 Science) and three device slots on board the 500-crew ship

The mobility and speed of the Trident is not as high as other ships, though, with its 6 turning rate and 15 impulse speed. Additional specifications will be released in a later date, the STO website said. In terms of appearance, the Trident has a titanium silver color and takes on a shied shape with two boosters on each side. Some Trekkies said it’s a bland look but we think it’s a sleek, efficient design. Check the pics out at the official STO website.
